What the Neo-Cons Are Saying - Vanity Fair

Thanks to a reference in the LA Times, I have just discovered the following article on VanityFair.com (leader shown below):

For that matter, I just discovered Vanity Fair. There seems to be much more interesting commentary there than I imagined. Don't be surprised if I come back to this web site from time to time.

Read this article. It is fascinating to see how leading neo-cons are rethinking their earlier positions on invading Iraq. Much of this attempts to justify the neo-con world view, while arguing that the problem with Iraq is the Bush administration's ineptitude.

While I second the comments about the dysfunctional Bush administration, My own opinion is that the Neo-con world view is flawed severely and led (and would lead) to catastrophic foreign adventures if followed.

Neo Culpa

As Iraq slips further into chaos, the war's neoconservative boosters have turned sharply on the Bush administration, charging that their grand designs have been undermined by White House incompetence. In a series of exclusive interviews, Richard Perle, Kenneth Adelman, David Frum, and others play the blame game with shocking frankness. Target No. 1: the president himself.
